Founded by Haroen (Harun) Calehr, L.L.M. in May 2001. While still relatively new to the scene, CALEHR & ASSOCIATES is a professional firm and its founder is by no means new to the Texas State, or even regional, business environments. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Calehr already practiced law as a Bankruptcy Attorney for The law firm of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP a highly qualified group of experienced attorneys and professional collection teams whose practice is dedicated solely to collecting government receivables where he had first hand experience in representations of various large corporate finance matters both for the local Houston government, the State of Texas and the Federal Government.

It is also worth mentioning that Mr. Calehr has had extensive International experience both in the private as well as public sector before starting his law practice while working as a Corporate Communications Manager at PT. Pramindo Ikat Nusantara, where he developed corporate communications policies for this $440 million dollar multinational and World Bank sponsored company providing telecommunications service to Sumatra, Indonesia and for The English News Service Program at TVRI, Jakarta, Indonesia as a News Anchor, Reporter and Translator at Indonesia?s nationwide state-run TV-network, where among others he was on assignment at the 1997 ASEAN Ministerial Meeting, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While working as a journalist, he had the opportunity to interview people from all walks of live including several heads of state and a slew of innumerable dignitaries from all over the world.

As an AILA and ATLA member, he is driven and talented, and he is committed to accommodate and assist the firms clients' business and personal legal interests aggressively, in the most efficient and effective manner, dedicated to deliver the high standard of excellence that our corporate and individual clients demand and deserve.  Litigation is his main interest and as a Trial Attorney he wants to see that justice prevails for his clients.

During the first year of practice, CALEHR & ASSOCIATES had already the chance to represent major corporate clients in a wide spectrum of business activities, most notably are a major Wall Street foreign government Bank, and some of Houston's diverse companies. During this short period, the firm has also established experience in the area of Immigration Law, Personal Injury, Litigation, Bankruptcy Law, Maritime Law, Family Law and DWI/White Collar Criminal Defense.
